Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, William A Jeppesen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tun Min Naing!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jeppesen pushes Naing up against the ropes in a clinch.

Jeppesen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Naing does no damage.
We've been informed that Naing has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Naing throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jeppesen counters with a stiff right hand.
Jeppesen is looking to score with low kicks.

Jeppesen clinches up against the ropes.
Jeppesen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Naing blocks it with crossed arms.
Naing throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Naing pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jeppesen punishes Naing's body with a nice straight punch.
Naing swats away the attempt to clinch by Jeppesen.
Nice body kick from Jeppesen.
Jeppesen throws a looping overhand right but Naing ducks down to avoid it.
Naing scores with a hook to the body. Jeppesen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jeppesen swings for the body but Naing moves out of range.

Jeppesen ducks into a a hook from Naing and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!


It looks like William A Jeppesen has been cut.
Naing digs a good hook to Jeppesen's body.
Jeppesen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Naing is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Jeppesen with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Naing throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Naing misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jeppesen is looking to clinch.
Jeppesen tries to clinch up but Naing circles away and keeps his distance.

Jeppesen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jeppesen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Naing tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jeppesen avoids it.
Jeppesen takes an elbow to the forehead.

Oh Jeppesen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeppesen blocks an elbow strike.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Naing obliges.
Jeppesen is breathing heavily.
Jeppesen dodges an elbow strike from Naing.
Naing creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Naing throws an elbow that misses.
Naing looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Jeppesen avoids the elbow strike from Naing, against the ropes.
Jeppesen dodges an elbow strike from Naing.
Jeppesen seems to have got his legs back now.

Naing breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jeppesen tries to clinch up but Naing circles away and keeps his distance.
Naing lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Jeppesen out cold! Jeppesen is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the ropes! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tun Min Naing!
During a confident post fight interview, Tun Min Naing thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
