Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kvame Zulu (ranked 1426 p4p, 153 weight class) and Rod Jackson (ranked 3152 p4p, 326 weight class). Zulu's entrance music is Big Badaboom. A fine choice. Kvame Zulu has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Zulu checks a leg kick.

Jackson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Zulu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jackson is out of range and Zulu settles back down.
Zulu on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Jackson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Jackson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Zulu to score with a decent uppercut.
Zulu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Zulu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jackson has time to react.

It looks like Rod Jackson has been cut.

Jackson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Zulu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Jackson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Zulu is able to avoid easily.
Zulu lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jackson takes a step back to recover.

Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Zulu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Zulu has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Zulu creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Jackson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Jackson drops to his knees and Zulu pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
