The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oken might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Oken takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oken moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That has opened up Tony Oken's cut even more.
Oken missing with a left hand there. Grasso was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
As Oken looks to move away, Grasso throws a big counter combo but Oken just gets out of the way.

Oken takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Oken throws an off balance right hand
and Grasso counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Oken is rocked!

Oken is still on wobbly legs! Can Grasso finish him?
Grasso bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Grasso appears to be looking for a big counter.
Oken seems to have recovered his senses.

Grasso works Oken's body with a nice hook.
Oken takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Grasso goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Grasso scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Oken has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Grasso scores with the left hand. Oken knows he should have avoided that one.

Grasso feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Oken sprawling to the canvas! Oken rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Grasso finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grasso pounces like a tiger and cracks Oken with a vicious hook! Oken is down but not out! Grasso follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
