Lewis comes to the cage accompanied by Thoroughly - Lighting Strikes. Kenny Lewis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lighty LightHeavyweight!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LightHeavyweight throws a right hand that Lewis ducks under and follows up with a left that Lewis also avoids with ease.
Lewis drops down looking for a counter takedown but LightHeavyweight sprawls and moves away.
LightHeavyweight dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lewis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
LightHeavyweight lunges at Lewis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lewis's hand.

Lewis takes the fight into the clinch.
LightHeavyweight pushes Lewis back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
LightHeavyweight lands with a right to the head.
LightHeavyweight misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lewis tries to throw a body punch but LightHeavyweight avoids it by throwing Lewis back against the cage.

Lewis is trying to trip LightHeavyweight. He has hold of a leg but LightHeavyweight is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lewis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as LightHeavyweight holds on and takes a little breather.
LightHeavyweight is continuing to stall.

LightHeavyweight is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lewis lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Lewis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lewis is looking to work some ground and pound but LightHeavyweight has wrist control.

Lewis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if LightHeavyweight can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lewis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lewis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
LightHeavyweight seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A slow jab from LightHeavyweight misses its intended target.

LightHeavyweight has managed to clinch.
Lewis is working for takedown but LightHeavyweight is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lewis tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lewis misses with a hook from the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by LightHeavyweight.
LightHeavyweight tries a body shot but Lewis blocks it.
Lewis's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
LightHeavyweight gets underhooks to prevent Lewis's takedown attempt.

Lewis goes for a takedown attempt but LightHeavyweight pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Lewis tries to clinch but LightHeavyweight is having none of it.

Lewis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and LightHeavyweight avoids it.
LightHeavyweight lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Lewis tries a body shot but LightHeavyweight blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lewis is pushing down on LightHeavyweight's leg trying to pass to half guard. LightHeavyweight is fighting to maintain full guard but Lewis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Lewis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, LightHeavyweight has managed to free his arm - good work.
Lewis throwing shots but LightHeavyweight is blocking nicely.
Lewis wants to free his trapped foot but LightHeavyweight is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Lewis slips a nice elbow through LightHeavyweight's hands, connecting with LightHeavyweight's forehead.

Lewis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. LightHeavyweight looks a forlorn figure.

Lewis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. LightHeavyweight can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

LightHeavyweight's coach down at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches - $300/Week was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on LightHeavyweight's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lewis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but LightHeavyweight gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
LightHeavyweight has Lewis pressed against the cage. Lewis drops his hands and LightHeavyweight takes advantage by unloading with a massive hook that sends Lewis tumbling to the canvas! LightHeavyweight rains down with more punches but Lewis was already out! That's a highlight reel knockout for LightHeavyweight!
