Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dariusz Hitman (ranked 23012 p4p, 785 weight class) and Gustavo Carvalho (ranked 2950 p4p, 359 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gustavo Carvalho enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 wins, 3 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dariusz Hitman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 wins, 8 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustavo Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho avoids the body shot from Hitman.
Carvalho feints the counter takedown.
Hitman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hitman takes one to the chin there.
Hitman moves in looking to clinch but Carvalho pushes him off.
Carvalho jabs Hitman to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Carvalho fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hitman is out of range.
Carvalho swings away with a leg kick that misses.
No joy there for Hitman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dariusz Hitman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hitman tries to clinch there but Carvalho circles away.
Hitman looks to clinch
and Carvalho counters with a stiff right hand.
Hitman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carvalho swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hitman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carvalho.
Hitman misses with a wild combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carvalho is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Carvalho slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Carvalho has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hitman throws a combination that misses

and Carvalho counters with a shoot takedown. Hitman fights it but they end up in guard.
Hitman has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Hitman being controlled here, momentarily.
Carvalho advances position into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hitman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Carvalho has hold of Hitman's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hitman seems comfortable defending it but Carvalho has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hitman is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hitman is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Carvalho couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gustavo Carvalho!
Gustavo Carvalho decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
