Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Felix Jaroslav (ranked 7167 p4p, 663 weight class) and Hsing I Chuan (ranked 6042 p4p, 618 weight class). Jaroslav comes to the cage accompanied by GO!. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chuan moves into range and clinches up with Jaroslav.

Chuan pulls Jaroslav into guard.
Chuan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chuan has his foot on Jaroslav's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jaroslav works his way back into a safe position though.

Chuan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Chuan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jaroslav is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chuan is trying to get back to half guard.

Chuan is trying to escape the position but Jaroslav is controlling the position.
Jaroslav knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chuan on the ground.

Jaroslav in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Chuan tries to bench press Jaroslav off him but Jaroslav keeps the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jaroslav tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Jaroslav is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chuan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Jaroslav's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Chuan misses with a double jab

and Jaroslav counters by clinching up.
Jaroslav presses Chuan against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Jaroslav is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Chuan can't fight it off and eventually Jaroslav manages to take the fight to the floor. Chuan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jaroslav seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chuan for as long as he can get away with.
