PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Happy Forclit (ranked 337 p4p, 11 weight class) and Callum Pagnozzi (ranked 343 p4p, 12 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Callum Pagnozzi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pagnozzi swings for the body but Forclit moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Forclit misses its target.
Forclit keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pagnozzi.
Forclit feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pagnozzis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Forclit slips a jab from Pagnozzi.
It looked like Forclit was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Pagnozzi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Forclit takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A left lands for Pagnozzi.

It looks like Happy Forclit has been cut.
Pagnozzi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Forclit looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Forclit throws a lazy right hand but Pagnozzi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pagnozzi misses with a straight left.
An attempted straight right counter from Forclit misses the target.
Forclit definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Forclit chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pagnozzi can pounce on him.
Forclit on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Forclit lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Forclit fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Forclit throws out a powerful jab.
Forclit needs to keep his hands up - Pagnozzi had a free shot at his head there.
Forclit steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pagnozzi.
Pagnozzi connects with a leg kick. Forclit looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Pagnozzi blocks a jab.
Pagnozzi thumps Forclit with a low kick.

Forclit misses with a takedown attempt

and Pagnozzi moves into the clinch.
Forclit lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pagnozzi backwards.
Pagnozzi blocks an uppercut.
Forclit throws a punch but it's blocked by Pagnozzi.
Forclit lands with a short shot to the head.
Pagnozzi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Pagnozzi misses with a punch to the body.

Pagnozzi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Forclit throws a leg kick

and Pagnozzi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Forclit's guard.
Forclit is looking to stand up but Pagnozzi isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pagnozzi tries to free his leg and advance position but Forclit is retaining full guard.
Pagnozzi wants to control from the top but Forclit keeps moving.
Forclit is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pagnozzi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Pagnozzi lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pagnozzi connects with a couple of short punches.
Forclit wants to get back to his feet but Pagnozzi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pagnozzi lands a couple of elbows.
Pagnozzi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Forclit is looking to stand up but Pagnozzi isn't so interested in that idea.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Forclit tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Forclit is in a horrible position here. Pagnozzi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Happy Forclit's cut is getting worse.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Happy Forclit's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Callum Pagnozzi!
Callum Pagnozzi was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
