Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Claude Patrick (ranked 2262 p4p, 280 weight class) and Peyton Manning (ranked 2832 p4p, 338 weight class). Manning is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jiu-Jitsu. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Peyton Manning was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manning closes this distance looking for a takedown but Patrick circles away.
Patrick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Manning.
Patrick is looking to counter the offense by Manning and move into the clinch.
Manning shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Patrick pinned against the cage. Patrick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jean Claude Patrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peyton Manning.
Patrick closes the distance and pushes Manning back into the cage.
Patrick throws a knee to the head but misses.
Patrick wants to break the clinch but can't.

Patrick throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Manning blocks it with crossed arms.
Patrick misses with a knee strike.
Manning fails to pull guard.
Patrick with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Manning tries to pull guard but Patrick forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Patrick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Manning is trying hard to land a takedown here. Patrick sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Patrick forces Manning back against the cage and clinches.
Patrick throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Manning blocks it with crossed arms.
Patrick looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Manning successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Patrick trying to control the position from guard on top but Manning is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Manning has his foot on Patrick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Patrick works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Manning keeping moving, preventing Patrick from controlling successfully.
Patrick is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Manning is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Manning is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Patrick rolls with it to try and escape but Manning cranks on the arm and Patrick is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

A very excited looking Peyton Manning made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Jean Claude Patrick had this to say: 'Sometimes you win sometimes you learn that's it!'.
