The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beethoven sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Takano lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Beethoven seems to have got his legs back now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Takano tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Beethoven is able to avoid easily.
Beethoven is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

As Takano looks to move away, Beethoven throws a big counter combo but Takano just gets out of the way.

Takano and Beethoven are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Takano throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Beethoven into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Takano knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Yuki Takano decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
