Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nilton Cruz (ranked 3811 p4p, 372 weight class) and Martin Ajax (ranked 5142 p4p, 493 weight class). Nilton Cruz is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nilton Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Martin Ajax!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ajax's waist but Ajax gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cruz off to one side.
Cruz tries for a takedown but Ajax sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ajax drops Cruz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cruz looks back up at him and smiles so Ajax waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Nilton Cruz has been cut.
Ajax just misses with a punch to the body.
As Ajax tries to get set, Cruz tries to push him back and clinch up but Ajax manages to avoid the attempt.
Ajax throws a combination that misses

and Cruz counters with a shoot takedown. Ajax fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cruz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ajax swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ajax is wriggling around but Cruz manages to pass to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ajax can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cruz wants to control but Ajax is keeping him busy.
Ajax pushes Cruz off looking to stand but Cruz dives back in and keeps control.

Ajax has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cruz is on him like a limpet, forcing Ajax back against the cage.
Cruz tries for a takedown but Ajax manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nilton Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ajax will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cruz up against the cage.

Ajax breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Ajax, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cruz shoots in and drives through. Ajax sprawls well.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ajax sprawls well. Ajax wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
Cruz moves away from the strike by Ajax.
Martin Ajax seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cruz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ajax is looking to stand up but Cruz isn't so interested in that idea.
Cruz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ajax pushes Cruz off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cruz walks into a stiff left hand from Ajax.
Ajax ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Cruz out cold! The fight is over!
