Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Whitfield (ranked 24407 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Hass (ranked 6062 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Hass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Whitfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Hass!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hass moves out of range of the body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hass manages to break the clinch.
Whitfield really is a fat lump.

Hass moves into the clinch successfully.

Hass gets control of Whitfield's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hass will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Whitfield trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hass's guard.
Whitfield might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hass looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whitfield is fighting to break Hass's control of his arms but Hass is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Whitfield knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hass on the ground.
Whitfield has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hass is proving hard to escape from.

Whitfield stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hass swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hass has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hass can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hass is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Whitfield lands with a kick to the ribs.
Whitfield goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Hass moves into range and clinches up with Whitfield.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Whitfield fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hass on the side of the head.
Good work by Whitfield as he checks the leg kick.

Whitfield tries to keep at a distance but Hass has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hass has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Whitfield uses from the top position.

Hass has his foot on Whitfield's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Whitfield works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Whitfield is looking to stand up but Hass won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Whitfield kicks Hass off and gets to his feet.
Hass takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Whitfield tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hass paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hass is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Whitfield throws a half hearted mid kick.
Anthony Whitfield is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Whitfield has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Whitfield there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hass throws a wild body kick that Whitfield sees coming a mile off.

Hass is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Whitfield's half guard.

Max Hass showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hass wants to work for an arm triangle but Whitfield is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hass is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Whitfield sees it coming and defends easily.
Hass is taking a breather. Whitfield says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hass feints and as Whitfield raises his hands in defense, Hass changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hass controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Anthony Whitfield has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Max Hass is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hass slips nicely into half guard.

Max Hass comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hass winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
