Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dean Corll (ranked 1053 p4p, 140 weight class) and Andre Haack (ranked 1418 p4p, 191 weight class). Corll kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Candyman. Andre Haack has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corll walks into a jab.
We've been informed that Haack has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Dean Corll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Haack keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Corll.
Haack blocks the body kick.
Corll lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Corll tries to bum rush Haack with a series of wild strikes but Haack uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Corll backing away here, and Haack unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Corll throws a right and a left that Haack avoids nicely.
Corll throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Corll fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A punch combination from Corll misses.
Corll steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Haack.

Corll lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corll looks to land a body kick but Haack moved away.
Haack lands a nice shot that snaps Corll's head back.
Haack tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Corll comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Corll checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Corll missing with a left hand there. Haack was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Corll throws an overhand right that lands on Haack's shoulder, as Haack tries to avoid the shot.
Haack chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Corll misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Haack.
Corll throws a body shot but no joy.
Haack looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Haack wants to slow Corll down by chopping away at his legs.
Haack swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Corll.
Corll scores with a head kick. Haack tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Corll tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haack was well out of range. Poor timing from Corll.
Corll lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Some wild striking there from Corll.
Corll throws a lazy uppercut
and Haack counters with a stiff right hand.
A solid leg kick lands there for Haack.
Haack looks to score with a jab to the body but Corll is just out of range.
Corll misses with a double jab.
A left lands for Corll.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Both fighters circling a little - Corll finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Corll drops Haack with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Haack looks back up at him and smiles so Corll waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Haack is rocked!
Some bone on bone action there as Corll checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Haack is still on wobbly legs! Can Corll finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Corll slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Haack throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Corll counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Haack badly! Corll follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Haack out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Corll finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dean Corll!
A relieved looking Dean Corll thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
