Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benoit Loyer (ranked 4336 p4p, 427 weight class) and Delwynn McGowan (ranked 8818 p4p, 608 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGowan avoids a punch combination nicely.
McGowan takes one to the chin there.

McGowan misses with a low kick.
Loyer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but McGowan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McGowan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Loyer.
Loyer lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down McGowan.
McGowan takes a shot to the head.
Loyer lands a body punch in the clinch.
McGowan tries to break the clinch but Loyer is controlling the position.

Loyer lands a big right hand that drops McGowan! The killer instinct kicks in and Loyer finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Loyer!
