Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Pony Pony (ranked 20928 p4p, 749 weight class) and Shane Ripgut (ranked 7596 p4p, 638 weight class). Ripgut is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eminence front-the who. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Ripgut!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Pony scores with a push kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pony lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ripgut takes a step back to recover.
Ripgut takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Pony rushes Ripgut and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Pony's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pony turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pony bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Pony tries to clinch but Ripgut moves out of range.
Ripgut is trying to counter with his kicks.

Pony moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Pony throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ripgut takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pony misses with a kick to the body
and Ripgut counters with a nice kick to the body.
Pony Pony is winning the standup battle so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pony tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Ripgut counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Ripgut counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Ripgut counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Ripgut swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Pony throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ripgut replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Pony blocks it well.

Pony Pony is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ripgut looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Pony throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Ripgut counters with a nice uppercut that drops Pony onto his backside! Pony bounces straight back to his feet before we have a chance to even start the count. He'll get the standing 8 count anyway before we get back underway.

Ripgut looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Pony swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ripgut counters with a right hand from hell and Pony is out cold! A vicious knockout!

Shane Ripgut very nearly forgot to thank Sully's Bar & Grill amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
