The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machado drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Servium is pulling down on Machado's head to control his posture.

Machado drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Servium manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Machado has Servium in his guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Machado's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Servium engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Servium has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Secret Lab. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Servium really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Servium is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Machado has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Servium is looking to defend but Machado has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Servium! Machado pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Servium taps out and this one is all over!

After the fight, Xander Machado was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
