Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Valerdi!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Valerdi shoots for a takedown but Everett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Valerdi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Everett defends well and Valerdi ends up having to push Everett into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Everett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Valerdi but Valerdi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Everett looks for a takedown but Valerdi sprawls well.
Everett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Everett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Valerdi keeps working.

Everett decides to stand up.

Everett shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Valerdi as he jumps to the side.
Valerdi darts in looking for a takedown but Everett gets double underhooks and turns Valerdi into the cage.
Everett appears to be looking for a big counter.

Everett gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A punch lands to the side of Valerdi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Valerdi moves in looking to clinch but Everett pushes him off.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Everett.
Everett dives in and grabs Valerdi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valerdi pushes down on Everett's head and hops out.
Everett fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Everett moves in looking to clinch but Valerdi pushes him off.
Valerdi appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Everett is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Valerdi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Valerdi's back!
Everett has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Valerdi's body.
Everett is not going to allow Valerdi to sit and survive in this position.
Everett has good solid back control here.

Everett controlling the position well here. Valerdi rolled but Everett kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Everett is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Everett has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Valerdi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Will Everett go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Ryan Everett is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
