Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Fortune (ranked 573 p4p, 72 weight class) and Manny Machado (ranked 1309 p4p, 155 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado throws a hook to the side of Fortune's head but Fortune sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Some wild striking there from Machado.
Machado fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fortune has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Machado throws out a powerful jab.
A head kick misses from Fortune.
Machado is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Fortune with a body shot.
Machado lands a jab to Fortune's midsection.
Machado has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Fortune is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Fortune throws a right and a left that Machado avoids nicely.
Fortune looks to throw the jab but Machado is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Machado fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fortune manages to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Machado lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fortune doesn't seem phased though.

Machado tries to clinch up.
Machado bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Machado throws a leg kick but Fortune moved away.
Fortune throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Machado tries to clinch but Fortune is having none of it.
Machado rushes Fortune and presses him up against the cage.
Fortune scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Fortune swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fortune on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Machado stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Machado blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Machado misses with a knee to the head.
Fortune has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Fortune tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Fortune taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Fortune has a couple of punches blocked by Machado.
Machado blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Machado swings wildly with an uppercut but Fortune uses good head movement to avoid it.
Machado is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Machado's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Machado tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fortune was well out of range. Poor timing from Machado.
Fortune drops down looking for a counter takedown but Machado sprawls and moves away.

and Fortune cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Machado jabs Fortune right on the nose. Fortune blinks but takes it well.
Machado misses with a two punch combination.
Fortune tries to counter by clinching up but Machado breaks away and moves out of range.

and Fortune counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fortune shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Machado eats them both and turns towards Fortune to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Machado finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Fortune's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Machado falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dominic Fortune!
