Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Lee (ranked 5354 p4p, 511 weight class) and Raneiro Gaspare (ranked 24836 p4p, 702 weight class). Raneiro Gaspare will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee motions for Gaspare to come forward. Lee throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gaspare bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lee's head.
Gaspare cracks Lee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gaspare. That's going to slow Lee down.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lee looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Gaspare takes the fight into the clinch.

Gaspare drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lee gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Lee blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gaspare closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Lee! Gaspare dives in looking to finish! Lee is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
