Tavau comes to the cage accompanied by In the Air Tonight. Siva Tavau could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mountain Rivera's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tavau closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rivera is trying to drag Tavau to the mat but Tavau just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tavau has Rivera pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tavau pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rivera tumbling to the mat - Tavau dives into Rivera's guard.

Tavau has his foot on Rivera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rivera works his way back into a safe position though.

Tavau is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rivera must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rivera is looking to work some ground and pound but Tavau has wrist control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rivera can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tavau is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rivera is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rivera has escaped and now he's on top!

Tavau had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rivera defends it easily.

Rivera has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tavau to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rivera is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tavau pulls down on the head and he's put Rivera to sleep! This one is all over!
