Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Crushman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lavar Ball!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ball moves out of range as Crushman strikes.
Ball feints and then cracks Crushman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Crushman down.
Crushman misses with a straight right.
Ball misses the jab.
Ball blocks a leg kick.
Crushman throws a poor cross that misses
and Ball counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Crushman throws a right hand that misses
and Crushman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Crushman looks to throw the jab but Ball is out of range.
Ball throws a counter combo.
Ball lands with a hook. Crushman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ball looks to land a right hand but Crushman moved out of range.

Crushman throws a looping overhand right but Ball ducks down to avoid it.

Ball looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Crushman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ball bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ball accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Crushman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ball defends it easily.
Crushman has his hands on Ball's head, controlling the position.
Ball throwing strikes but missing.
Crushman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ball working his ground and pound in the gym.

Crushman has his foot on Ball's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ball works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Crushman is trying to push Ball away but Ball has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Still in the clinch, Ball scores with a nice short uppercut.

Crushman swings wildly with an uppercut but Ball uses good head movement to avoid it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Crushman.
I think Crushman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
