PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steph Curry (ranked 429 p4p, 17 weight class) and Nick Force (ranked 583 p4p, 26 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steph Curry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Force!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Curry feints and then cracks Force's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Force down.
Force connects with a body shot.
Curry lands with a thumping leg kick.

We've been told by Curry's head coaches at House of Gladiators that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Nice uppercut lands for Force. That snapped Curry's head back.

Curry is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Curry throws a leg kick but Force sees it coming and moves out of range.
Curry takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Force is looking to chop away at Curry's legs.
Force uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Curry.

Curry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Curry drops Force with a beautiful combination! Force stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Curry is looking for the KO!

Curry lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Curry half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steph Curry dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Force checks a leg kick.

Curry cracks Force on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Force falls backwards against the cage. Curry follows up with more strikes that drop Force to his knees. Curry keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Force! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steph Curry!
Steph Curry was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
