Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Ashton (ranked 1522 p4p, 204 weight class) and Carter Martin (ranked 2095 p4p, 266 weight class). Ashton comes to the cage accompanied by Zombie Nation. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashton fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Martin on the side of the head.
Martin throws a leg kick which misses Ashton's front leg but catches the back leg as Ashton tries to avoid it.
Martin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Martin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Martin looks to score with a jab to the body but Ashton is just out of range.
Ashton scores with a crisp jab that stopped Martin in his tracks.
Martin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Martin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ashton uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Martin.
A little feinted left hand from Ashton on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Martin avoids the body shot from Ashton.
Martin misses with a body kick.
Ashton feints and then cracks Martin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Martin down.
Martin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ashton scores with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ashton appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Martin throws a right hand that Ashton ducks under and follows up with a left that Ashton also avoids with ease.

Ashton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Martin. That did some damage!

A nice leg kick lands there from Ashton.
Ashton throws a right and a left that Martin avoids nicely.
Ashton throws a big shot that misses.
Ashton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Martin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Martin throws a jab when Ashton was well out of range.
Martin throws a right hand that Ashton ducks under and follows up with a left that Ashton also avoids with ease.
Ashton swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Oooooh!!! Ashton has knocked Martin down with a huge combo! Ashton steps away and waves a wobbly Martin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Martin is rocked!
Martin switches off momentarily and Ashton cracks him with a monster right hand! Martin topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Ashton dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Ashton!
