Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Sainty (ranked 2518 p4p, 264 weight class) and Gosha Lopez (ranked 2666 p4p, 280 weight class). Lopez has chosen Sho Z-pod duba as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sainty misses with a low kick.
Lopez now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Lopez checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sainty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lopez's guard.
Lopez pulls Sainty in close to his closed guard and prevents Sainty from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lopez is trying to control the position but Sainty postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopez looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Lopez pulls Sainty in close to prevent any damage.
Lopez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sainty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sainty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lopez wants to sweep but no luck.
We've been hearing good reports from Sainty's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lopez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lopez looking for a guillotine here but Sainty defends easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lopez keeping moving, preventing Sainty from controlling successfully.
Lopez pulls Sainty in close to his closed guard and prevents Sainty from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lopez slips a jab from Sainty.
Sainty sets himself, and Lopez steps forward looking for the clinch! Sainty avoids it this time.
Lopez swings for the body but Sainty moves out of range.

Sainty gets tackled into the cage by Lopez. Lopez maintains the clinch.
Sainty fails to pull guard.
Lopez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lopez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lopez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sainty trying to control but Lopez is working from the bottom.

Lopez is looking to sweep but instead, Sainty has passed into half guard.
Lopez has his hands clasped together around Sainty's back. He's all about the action.
Lopez trying to hold on to Sainty's head to control him but Sainty postures up.

Sainty is trying to control. Lopez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sainty is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Sainty will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sainty gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lopez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lopez wants to control from the top but Sainty keeps moving.
Sainty controls Lopez momentarily but Lopez frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopez looking to improve position, pressing down on Sainty's thigh with his hand. Sainty seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Lopez paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Lopez's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Sainty picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
