Anders comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 300 violins kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Eryk Anders has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eryk Anders!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Britt stuffs the takedown.
Britt looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Anders moves in looking to clinch but Britt pushes him off.
Britt is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Anders fails in his attempt to clinch.
Anders lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Foster Britt has been cut.
Anders misses with a head kick.
Eryk Anders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Anders throws a series of punches but Britt moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anders is defended easily by Britt.
Britt throws a counter high kick but Anders was just alert enough to avoid it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Britt gets control of Anders's arms and successfully pulls guard. Britt will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Anders darts in looking for a takedown but Britt gets double underhooks and turns Anders into the cage.

A quick step to the side and Britt tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Britt counters with a left to the body.
Anders shoots in for a takedown but Britt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Britt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Anders to the ground. Britt is now in Anders's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Britt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Anders shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Anders shoots in but Britt avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Anders tries to land a front kick but Britt steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
It looked like Britt was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Anders.
Anders swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Britt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Anders is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Anders shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Britt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Anders rushes Britt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Anders tries to pull guard but Britt holds him up against the cage and eventually Anders drops back down to his feet.

Anders has picked Britt up - he's going for a ride! Anders dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Britt pushes Anders off but Anders dives into side control.
Britt wants to get back to his feet.
Anders blocks the strikes from Britt.

Anders has control of an arm but Britt manages to advance to Anders's back!
Anders is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Britt.

Britt lands with a hammerfist to the side of Anders's head.
Anders wants to escape the position.
Britt lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Good control from Britt.
Anders is in bad spot here.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Britt here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Anders takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Anders trying to control the hands but Britt breaks the grip.

Anders is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Britt is staying active.
What can Anders do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Foster Britt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Anders is in bad spot here.
Britt has good solid back control here.
Anders looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
