Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Jang!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tabatabai rushes Jang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jang jumps guard but Tabatabai stands there with Jang around his waist. Jang gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tabatabai lands a body punch in the clinch.
Jang can't get the takedown.
A body shot lands from Tabatabai.
A short right from Tabatabai on the inside.
Tabatabai prevents the takedown attempt.
John Tabatabai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jang.
Tabatabai struggles to land a body shot inside as Jang controls his hands.
Jang tries to pull guard but Tabatabai won't allow it.
Tabatabai lands a right hand.

Jang is looking for a triangle here but Tabatabai uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jang tries to buck Tabatabai off but Tabatabai is having none of it.

Jang can't do much from the bottom here.
Tabatabai in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Jang wants to control but Tabatabai postures up.
Tabatabai definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jang tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jang is letting Tabatabai control him for a moment.
Jang tries to improve position but can't.
Jang gets back to half guard.
Jang is looking for a sweep. Tabatabai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jang missing with punches from the bottom.
Jang flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Tabatabai not doing much here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tabatabai's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tabatabai's back!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tabatabai covers up after that shot from Jang.
Jang is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jang gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jang gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jang apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Jang has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tabatabai is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Tabatabai lands with a cross.
Jang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jang shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tabatabai defends it nicely.

Tabatabai closes the distance and pushes Jang back into the cage.
Tabatabai works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jang drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tabatabai gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Tabatabai lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jang backwards.
Tabatabai pushes Jang back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tabatabai lands a hook that snaps the head of Jang backwards.
Tabatabai scores with an uppercut up the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jang is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tabatabai to keep the fight standing.
Jang fails to pull guard.
Jang wants a takedown but no success here.

Jang tries to score a body lock takedown but Tabatabai shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Tabatabai throws a big uppercut that drops Jang! More strikes from Tabatabai and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Jang lies dazed against the cage as Tabatabai celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Tabatabai!
A victorious John Tabatabai thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
James Jang was interviewed post fight and said 'Don't turn your back on me, sucka!'.
