Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blaze Max (ranked 1837 p4p, 195 weight class) and Jackie Lo (ranked 1311 p4p, 142 weight class). Max kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Charlie Don't Surf. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blaze Max!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackie Lo!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lo misses with an uppercut. Max saw that one coming.
Max keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Max is looking to land body kicks.
Max takes one to the chin there.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lo.
Max darts in trying to clinch
and Lo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Max slips under a jab.
Max moves out of range as Lo strikes.
Lo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Max moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Max blocks a jab.
Lo checks the leg kick.
A clash of legs there as Lo blocks the low kick.
Lo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Max in his tracks.
Lo blocks a head kick by Max.
Max throws a leg kick that is checked
and Lo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Max misses with a leg kick
and Lo counters with a nice uppercut.
Lo blocks a head kick by Max.
Lo steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Max. That one must have hurt.
Blaze Max seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Max lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Max throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Max blocks a jab.
Max moves out of range of the strikes.
Max tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lo manages to circle out of the way.
Max clinches.
Lo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Max backwards.
Max looks to throw an elbow but misses.
A knee to the head by Max.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lo.
Max is rocked!
Max has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice body punch from Lo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Max missing with knees to the body.
Max is breathing heavily.
Max pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Lo unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Max! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Lo is unloading with more strikes now! Max drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jackie Lo!

In defeat, Blaze Max stepped up to the mic, saying 'Gotta get back in the gym and punch and tackle the shit out of some roo's !'.
