The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Jager scores with the left hand. Sakho knows he should have avoided that one.
De Jager scores with a sloppy right hand. Sakho should have avoided that one.
De Jager throws a good cross that connects.
Sakho is looking to clinch.
De Jager swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sakho.

Sakho closes the distance and clinches.
De Jager pushes Sakho back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
De Jager lands with a short shot to the head.

De Jager lands a leg kick that knocks Sakho off balance momentarily.

Sakho rushes De Jager and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

De Jager is pressed up against the cage. Sakho has hold of a leg and is looking to drag De Jager down to the mat. De Jager avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sakho throws a wild body kick that De Jager sees coming a mile off.
De Jager lands a lovely overhand right.

De Jager is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sakho's half guard.
Sakho is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

De Jager is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
De Jager is looking to advance position but Sakho won't allow it.

De Jager postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sakho in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sakho to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
