Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximilian Kirby (ranked 2722 p4p, 295 weight class) and Lucky Luke (ranked 3920 p4p, 396 weight class). Lucky Luke is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Luke seems to have recovered his senses.

Kirby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirby's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kirby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Luke is fighting to break Kirby's control of his arms but Kirby is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
