The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ohtani's coach down at Spar Bros was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ohtani's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ohtani throws a series of punches but Davis avoids them all with ease.
Ohtani fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ohtani ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davis moves away.

Davis takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Ohtani looks to throw the jab but Davis is out of range.
No joy there for Ohtani, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ohtani connects with a good right hand that stumbles Davis. Davis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kato Ohtani is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Davis looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Ohtani wants to get back to striking at distance but Davis won't allow it.

Ohtani drops Davis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Davis looks back up at him and smiles so Ohtani waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Ohtani! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
