Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DJ Augie (ranked 925 p4p, 103 weight class) and Maki Pulu (ranked 958 p4p, 109 weight class). Pulu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alive. DJ Augie has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augie catches Pulu with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Maki Pulu has been cut.
Augie has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Pulu swings for the body but Augie moves out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pulu has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pulu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's time! Augie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Augie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pulus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Well Pulu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
