Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Lee (ranked 6183 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Cook (ranked 6530 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magnus Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Logan Cook!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee defending well as Cook loads up on a big left hand.
Cook tries to bum rush Lee with a series of wild strikes but Lee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lee fires out a quick counter leg kick but Cook just manages to avoid it.
Cook throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Lee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cook's guard.

Lee thows a huge punch but Cook dodges it nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cook can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lee connects with a nice short shot to Cook's temple.

The referee warns Cook that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cook keeps working.
Lee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cook is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Cook, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Cook against the cage but Cook circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cook tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cook to the ground. Cook escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cook is fending him off so far but Lee persists. Nope, Cook circles away and we're back to standing.

Lee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cook with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Logan Cook has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lee tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lee postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cook looks a forlorn figure.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
