The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagov darts in looking for a takedown but Aokison gets double underhooks and turns Bagov into the cage.

Bagov shoots in for a takedown but Aokison shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bagov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aokison gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bagov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aokison can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Aokison wants to sweep here but Bagov controlling him for the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryu Aokison will probably get the nod.
