Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Prescott (ranked 4858 p4p, 476 weight class) and Kazushi Mizushima (ranked 2380 p4p, 267 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Mizushima. Prescott does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mizushima lands a nice shot to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Mizushima checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Prescott keeps Mizushima at a distance using the push kick.
Mizushima misses with a hook. Prescott ducked under it nicely.
Prescott throws a shot from downtown. Mizushima moves away and avoids it.

Prescott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mizushima can pounce on him.

It looked like Prescott was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mizushima.
Kazushi Mizushima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prescott on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mizushima. Mizushima obviously looking to wear him down.
Prescott fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mizushima has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mizushima thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mizushima lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Prescott moves out of range as Mizushima strikes.

Mizushima changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Prescott looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Prescott tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Prescott can't do much from the bottom here.
Mizushima wants to control but Prescott is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The fighters circling - Prescott throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mizushima misses with a head kick.

Prescott takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Mizushima goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Prescott throws the left hand but Mizushima avoids the punch easily.
A head kick from Prescott lands but Mizushima takes it in his stride.

and Mizushima counters with a good low kick that Prescott was not able to check.

A nice side step and Mizushima releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Prescott will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Mizushima wants the takedown. Prescott is fighting it off but Mizushima persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Prescott's guard against the cage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Prescott wants to control the position but Mizushima says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Prescott has a hand on Mizushima's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Mizushima takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Mizushima unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Prescott wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Mizushima celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
