Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doyle Brunson (ranked 166 p4p, 18 weight class) and Maxim Bok (ranked 504 p4p, 58 weight class). Bok comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Give It Revolution kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Brunson tries to close the distance and clinch but Bok swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Brunson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Brunson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bok has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brunson wants to control but Bok is having none of it.

Bok is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brunson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brunson shrugs it off.

Brunson is having to fend off submission attempts from Bok, who is looking to sink in the choke. Bok doesn't have the hooks in though and Brunson manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
