Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Alviso (ranked 3420 p4p, 370 weight class) and Bill Oddie (ranked 3160 p4p, 347 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alviso might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pooh Man-Oakland. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alviso takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Oddie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Alviso misses with an uppercut
and Oddie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Oddie connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Good shot there by Alviso.
Alviso shoots in for a takedown but Oddie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jerome Alviso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alviso lands a nice looking body shot.
Alviso lands a lovely overhand right.
Oddie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alvisos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Alviso tries to score with a low kick but Oddie moves his leg out of the way.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oddie buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Alviso throws a leg kick which misses Oddie's front leg but catches the back leg as Oddie tries to avoid it.
Alviso has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Alviso throws a body punch but Oddie moves out of range.

Alviso misses with a looping left.
Oddie slips a straight right by Alviso.

Alviso throws the kick towards the body but Oddie avoids it.
Oddie flicks out a counter leg kick but Alviso steps away.
Oddie throws a nice inside leg kick.
Oddie fakes the leg kick and cracks Alviso in the body.
Alviso throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Oddie counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Alviso throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oddie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A shot to the body from Alviso misses
and Oddie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Alviso's knee momentarily.
Alviso looks to land a combination but Oddie avoids it well.
Alviso lands a nice shot to the body.
Oddie takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Alviso throws a push kick but Oddie slaps the foot to one side.
Alviso misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Oddie.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Oddie - that will leave a mark!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alviso throws a head kick but Oddie moves out of range.
Oddie lets loose with a powerful body kick. Alviso will feel that in the morning.

Horrible takedown attempt by Alviso or perhaps it was just good defense by Oddie, which made it look bad.
Oddie scores with a kick to the midsection.

It looks like Jerome Alviso has been cut.
Oddie jabs Alviso to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bill Oddie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Alviso takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

A slapping leg kick lands for Oddie.
Oddie lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Alviso falls backwards - clearly groggy! Oddie dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
