Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allan Becker (ranked 24909 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Steel (ranked 24597 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Allan Becker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Steel!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel shoots in and drives through. Becker sprawls well.

Steel clinches.
Steel blocks a body shot from Becker.
Steel stalling against the cage.
Steel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Becker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Becker misses with a body punch.
Steel trying to land knees to the body.
Steel wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Steel is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Becker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Allan Becker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Steel.
Steel wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Becker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel is working away from the top position though.
Becker manages to get to full guard.
Becker is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Steel wants to pass the guard but Becker is keeping the position.
Becker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Becker manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Steel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Becker avoids it really well and circles away.
Becker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steel as he avoids it easily.
Steel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Steel looks for a takedown but Becker sprawls well.
Steel tries to bum rush Becker with a series of wild strikes but Becker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Becker is looking for a counter combo.
Steel misses with the combination.
Becker is looking to counter punch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steel is defended easily by Becker.
Steel looks winded!

Becker's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Becker duly obliges.
Steel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Becker defends well and Steel ends up having to push Becker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Steel clinches up against the cage.
Becker jumps guard but Steel stands there with Becker around his waist. Becker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Becker keeps control of Steel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Steel as Becker tries to tie him up.
Becker prevents Steel from breaking the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chris Steel will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Steel drives through and clinches with Becker against the cage.
Becker is trying to pull guard but Steel has him pressed against the cage.
Steel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Becker fails to pull guard.
Becker is trying to stall.
Becker tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Steel pulls guard effortlessly.
Steel is looking to sweep but instead, Becker has passed into half guard.
Becker not landing any meaningful shots this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Steel trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Becker manages to pass to mount!

Steel swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Becker controlling the position easily from mount.
Steel is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Becker gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Steel connects with the punch.


It looks like Allan Becker has been cut.
Becker tries to clinch but Steel is having none of it.
Steel dives in for a single leg takedown but Becker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Steel throws a low kick but Becker moves out of range easily.
Steel fails to land the takedown.
As Steel tries to get set, Becker tries to push him back and clinch up but Steel manages to avoid the attempt.

Becker tries to keep at a distance but Steel has taken the fight into the clinch.
Becker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steel pulls his leg out and moves away.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Steel pulls guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Steel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Allan Becker's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Becker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Steel.
Becker throws a body shot but no joy.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Steel. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Becker closes the distance and clinches up with Steel, looking for a takedown. Becker pushes Steel against the cage but Steel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Becker misses with a wild combination.
Becker stuffs the takedown attempt from Steel. Steel gets slowly back to his feet.
Allan Becker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Steel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Becker is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Steel can't fight it off and eventually Becker manages to take the fight to the floor. Steel looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Becker wanted to stand there but Steel had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Becker looking to sit in guard and control but Steel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Becker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Steel controls the pace.

Steel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Steel connects with a couple of short punches.
Steel won't allow Becker to get back to his feet.
Becker keeping moving, preventing Steel from controlling successfully.
Becker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Steel missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Becker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Steel controls from within his opponent's guard.
Becker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Steel closes the distance and clinches up with Becker, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes Becker against the cage but Becker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Steel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Becker's waist but Becker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steel off to one side.
Steel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Becker jumps guard but Steel stands there with Becker around his waist. Becker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Becker is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Steel to keep the fight standing.
With the fighters up against the cage, Becker throws an elbow but misses.
Becker is trying to force a seperation but Steel has the dominant position.
Steel fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Becker lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Becker tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Steel avoids it.

Steel jumps into guard, dragging Becker to the mat.
Steel looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Steel keeping moving, preventing Becker from controlling successfully.

Becker stands up from Steel's guard - Becker perhaps looking for a knockout.
Steel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Becker circles away.
Becker throwing a counter right hand but Steel manages to avoid it.

Becker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Becker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Steel just stands there and leans against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Becker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steel walks away with a smile on his face. Becker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Becker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steel defends it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Allan Becker.
I think Steel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
