Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lazuran Riku (ranked 1333 p4p, 162 weight class) and Ronnie McDonald (ranked 2463 p4p, 278 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying McDonald's choice of entrance music: Get Busy Living. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronnie McDonald!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald clinches up against the cage.

McDonald manages to break the clinch.
McDonald throws a sloppy head kick and Riku moves out of range easily.
McDonald feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Riku's calf.
Riku avoids the head kick by McDonald.
A nice inside leg kick there by McDonald. That's going to slow Riku down.
Riku stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Riku wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice shot lands for McDonald.
Riku jabbing away but nothing is landing.

McDonald moves into the clinch.

McDonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ronnie McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from McDonald.
McDonald tries a head kick but it misses.
Riku swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Jab, jab by Riku - just one landing.
Good leg kick by McDonald there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Riku throws a front kick that sends McDonald stumbling back into the cage.
Riku keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

McDonald moves in looking to clinch but Riku pushes him off.

McDonald closes the distance and clinches.

McDonald's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McDonald misses with a low kick as Riku jumps back.
McDonald steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Riku.
Nice straight punches there by McDonald. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McDonald.
McDonald swings widly with a right hand
and Riku connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lazuran Riku is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McDonald with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Riku takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
McDonald closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Riku counter with a right hand.

McDonald is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McDonald tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McDonald is still on wobbly legs! Can Riku finish him?

McDonald rushes Riku and presses him up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McDonald pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McDonald seems to have recovered his senses.
Riku lands a nice looking body kick.
McDonald tries to clinch
and Riku scores with a counter punch that sends McDonald to the canvas! Riku smells blood - he's punishing McDonald with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! McDonald has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lazuran Riku!
Lazuran Riku spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
