Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Beast Rage (ranked 4845 p4p, 381 weight class) and Mike Sunday (ranked 6568 p4p, 439 weight class). The key to victory for Beast Rage has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beast Rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Sunday!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rage looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sunday leaves Rage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rage shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sunday defends it nicely.
Sunday checks the leg kick.
Nice takedown defense from Sunday. No joy for Rage on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Beast Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sunday.
Sunday takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Rage throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sunday was covering up waiting for the punch and Rage finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sunday wants to stand and escape but Rage is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sunday really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rage stands up from Sunday's guard - Rage perhaps looking for a knockout.
Mike Sunday is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rage throws a leg kick but Sunday sees it coming and moves out of range.
Sunday looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Rage tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sunday sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rage somewhat.
Rage shoots for a takedown but Sunday saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rage throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sunday.
No joy there for Sunday, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sunday keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


It looks like Beast Rage has been cut.
Rage goes for a double leg but Sunday avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sunday continues to drive forward.
Some bone on bone action there as Sunday checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sunday connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rage fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sunday checks it well.
Beast Rage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sunday on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Beast Rage's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Rage fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sunday.

Oh Rage is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sunday wants to stand but Rage is controlling his posture from full guard.

Rage is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sunday defends well.
Rage has a closed guard, preventing Sunday from standing up.
Rage seems to have got his legs back now.

Sunday must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
