PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Poffo (ranked 364 p4p, 55 weight class) and Troy Hooper (ranked 212 p4p, 30 weight class). Troy Hooper told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Poffo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Troy Hooper!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poffo misses with a hook
and Hooper counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hooper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Poffo as he avoids it easily.
Poffo throws a solid leg kick but Hooper takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Poffo.
Poffo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Oh Poffo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Poffo walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Poffo limp body while Hooper jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

During a confident post fight interview, Troy Hooper thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
