The fighters are working up against the cage. Simmons manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Tyndmave wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Simmons lands a shot to the body.

Simmons's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Simmons fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tyndmave sprawls well initially but Simmons persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Simmons is working for an americana but Tyndmave has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Simmons was thinking about the submission.

Simmons drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tyndmave manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Simmons has Tyndmave in his guard.

Simmons has Tyndmave pulled in close to control his posture.
Tyndmave wants to get up but he can't break Simmons's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Simmons has momentary wrist control but Tyndmave slips an elbow through the middle.

Simmons wants to get back to his feet but Tyndmave is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Simmons is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
