These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcauley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Eaton appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Eaton gets caught flat footed, as Mcauley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eaton uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Eaton pushes Mcauley up against the cage in a clinch.

Eaton has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mcauley after a bit of a struggle.

Eaton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Eaton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Eaton breaks Mcauley's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Mcauley lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mcauley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Eaton looking for a guillotine here but Mcauley defends easily.

Eaton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcauley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcauley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Eaton connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Mcauley to escape the position.
Eaton is not going to allow Mcauley to sit and survive in this position.
Eaton doesn't have the hooks in and Mcauley manages to turn into his guard.
Eaton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mcauley throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Eaton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mcauley closes the distance and clinches.

Mcauley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mcauley darts in and clinches Eaton up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Horacio Eaton will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Mcauley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Eaton was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcauley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Eaton manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Mcauley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Eaton is proving hard to escape from.

Eaton looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mcauley has picked Eaton up and slammed him! Eaton can't keep hold of the triangle and Mcauley manages to pass to side control!
Eaton tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Eaton is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Eaton manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mcauley's guard. Nice work there by Eaton.

Eaton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mcauley is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Eaton rolls with it to try and escape but Mcauley cranks on the arm and Eaton is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
