PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Esa Kettu (ranked 3620 p4p, 361 weight class) and Atha Wolf (ranked 2915 p4p, 306 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Esa Kettu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Atha Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kettu throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Wolf missing with a left hand there. Kettu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kettu throws a good cross that connects.
Wolf throws an off balance right hand
and Kettu counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wolf takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wolf misses with a hook.
Kettu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kettu bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wolf rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kettu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Danga de danga de dang - Wolf scores with a four punch combination!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kettu lands a nice looking kick to the body. Wolf takes a step back to recover.
Kettu moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Kettu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Nice straight punches there by Wolf. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wolf.
Wolf lands with an uppercut that bounces Kettu off the cage and back into range.
A combination from Wolf does no damage.
Kettu lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Kettu takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wolf misses with a series of wild punches.
Kettu scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kettu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wolf has time to react.
Kettu connects with a body shot that sends Wolf's belly button to the back.
Wolf throws a hook to the side of Kettu's head but Kettu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Kettu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A swing and a miss from Wolf.
Kettu swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kettu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wolf.
Kettu lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kettu delivers a nice body kick.
Wolf misses with a jab, cross combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kettu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wolf.
Kettu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wolf momentarily.
It looks like Kettu has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
The fighters circling - Wolf throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kettu plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Wolf is rocked!
Wolf might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Kettu thumps Wolf with a low kick.
Wolf takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wolf is still on wobbly legs! Can Kettu finish him?

Wolf throws a series of punches but Kettu moves out of range.
Kettu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wolf. That did some damage!
Kettu closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Wolf! Kettu dives in looking to finish! Wolf is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Esa Kettu!
Esa Kettu tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
