PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Vieira (ranked 3054 p4p, 398 weight class) and Paul Poulter (ranked 6027 p4p, 612 weight class). Vieira comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Gun Kelly–Till I Die. Paul Poulter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulter lands a jab to the nose.

Poulter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vieira manages to get himself to full guard.

Vieira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poulter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Poulter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Poulter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vieira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Poulter has managed to get both his arms back between Vieira's legs - danger averted.
Vieira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vieira Throws a clean left jab. Vieira Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Poulter's chin! Poulter crumbles to the ground and Vieira follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Vieira!
