Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Jones (ranked 1247 p4p, 137 weight class) and Anton Altair (ranked 1672 p4p, 179 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Take my hand. Altair has chosen Bran's freestyle as his entrance music. Brian Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones dodges the punch combination from Altair.
As Altair backs away, Jones returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Jones blocks a jab.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Altair.

Jones feints and as Altair raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones won't allow Altair to sweep him here.

Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Altair is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Brian Jones will probably get the nod.

Jones's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Altair connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jones scrambles back to his feet.

As Altair looks to move away, Jones throws a big counter combo but Altair just gets out of the way.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Altair cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Anton Altair comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Altair has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
