Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juanon Brephgrad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Maximilian Kirby!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brephgrad tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kirby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brephgrad misses with a low kick as Kirby jumps back.
Brephgrad gets caught napping as Kirby dives in and scores a takedown. Brephgrad manages to retain guard.
Kirby in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Brephgrad is looking to stand up but Kirby isn't so interested in that idea.
Kirby stays in close to Brephgrad's body and controls the position.
Kirby trying to control the position from guard on top but Brephgrad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brephgrad not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirby controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kirby with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kirby throws a strike but Brephgrad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kirby is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kirby thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Kirby pulls Brephgrad in close to prevent any damage.
Brephgrad working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kirby is pulling down on Brephgrad's head to control his posture.
Kirby wants to sweep but no luck.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kirby holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kirby doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brephgrad counters with a left to the body.
Brephgrad definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kirby throws a front kick aimed at Brephgrad's knee but Brephgrad avoids it well.
That kick from Brephgrad tenderised Kirby's leg. Kirby is trying to keep his angry face on.
Brephgrad throws a low kick but Kirby moves out of range easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Kirby blocks the leg kick.
Brephgrad tries to clinch up but Kirby circles away and keeps his distance.
Brephgrad misses with a head kick.
Juanon Brephgrad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brephgrad throws a leg kick which misses Kirby's front leg but catches the back leg as Kirby tries to avoid it.
Kirby closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brephgrad takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sloppy strikes there by Kirby.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
A control attempt from Brephgrad but he's now mounted!
Kirby looking to control but Brephgrad is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kirby pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Kirby looking to ground and pound but Brephgrad is blocking nicely.
Brephgrad is bucking up trying to escape but Kirby cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Kirby lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kirby connects with a bit shot that sees Brephgrad covering up! More strikes from Kirby and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kirby is our winner by TKO!
