The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romans gets a clinch.
Romans with a knee to the head.
Curtain has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Romans is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Romans tries to land a knee to the head but Curtain blocks with his arms.
Romans with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Curtain avoids the elbow strike from Romans, against the cage.
Romans using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Curtain has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Curtain has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Romans avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Curtain works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Curtain pushes down on Romans's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Curtain has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Curtain has hold of Romans's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Romans manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Curtain is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Romans can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
