The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Meida to score with a decent uppercut.
Meida connects with a jab.
Meida scores with a hook.
Silva goes for a double leg but Meida avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Meida continues to drive forward.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Meida stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Meida wants it to stay on the feet.
