Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Terrell (ranked 8454 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Vale (ranked 4837 p4p, 521 weight class). Vale has chosen Meltdown as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Matt Terrell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Terrell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bart Vale!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terrell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Terrell moves into range and clinches up with Vale.
Vale creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Terrell pushes off an throws an elbow but Vale leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Vale has had enough of the clinch but Terrell keeps him there for the moment.
Terrell decides to pull guard.
Vale works a leg free and moves into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vale is looking to take a break and control but Terrell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vale is pressing down on Terrell's thigh, looking to free his foot. Terrell is holding on for now.
Terrell holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

A frustrated look appears on Vale's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Terrell is looking to take this one to the mat.
Terrell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vale walks away with a smile on his face. Terrell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Terrell moves into the clinch.
Vale wants to take the fight to the mat but Terrell manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vale is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Terrell pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Terrell is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Vale looks winded!
Vale tries a body shot but Terrell blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Vale throws a head kick but Terrell moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Vale. No joy for Terrell on that attempt.

Terrell is pressed up against the cage. Vale has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Terrell down to the mat. Terrell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Terrell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vale tries to avoid it but Terrell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vale to the ground. Vale escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Terrell shoots in looking for a takedown but Vale manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Terrell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vale throws a fast counter high kick but Terrell manages to duck under it in time.

Terrell misses with a takedown attempt - Vale sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vale goes for a double leg but Terrell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Terrell continues to drive forward.

Terrell closes the distance and clinches up with Vale, looking for a takedown. Terrell pushes Vale against the cage but Vale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Vale has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Terrell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

and Terrell makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Vale leaves Terrell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Terrell shoots in for a takedown but Vale shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Terrell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Terrell goes for a double leg but Vale avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vale continues to drive forward.

Vale throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Terrell moves in looking to clinch but Vale pushes him off.
Vale shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Terrell sprawls well. Terrell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vale gets slowly back to his feet.

Terrell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Vale blocks it with crossed arms.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Terrell will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Terrell counters with a crisp one two that drops Vale! Terrell thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Vale to his feet! Vale is in big trouble!
Vale is rocked!
Terrell throws a sloppy head kick and Vale moves out of range easily.
Vale is still on wobbly legs! Can Terrell finish him?
Vale doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Terrell counters with a big left hand that crumples Vale! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
