Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clinton Smaxsons (ranked 6801 p4p, 620 weight class) and Sam McCullen (ranked 3469 p4p, 412 weight class). Smaxsons comes into the arena with "X gon' give it to ya" by DMX blaring out of the sound system. Sam McCullen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCullen slips a jab from Smaxsons.
Smaxsons misses with an uppercut. McCullen saw that one coming.
McCullen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

McCullen throws out a counter right but Smaxsons avoids it with no problem.

McCullen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
McCullen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McCullen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smaxsons tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCullen was well out of range. Poor timing from Smaxsons.
A decent looking cross lands there for McCullen.
Smaxsons ducks under a wild hook from McCullen.
McCullen digs a good hook to Smaxsons's body.

Smaxsons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McCullen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Smaxsons blocks the leg kick.

Nice straight punches there by Smaxsons. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smaxsons.
Clinton Smaxsons is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McCullen throws a body punch but Smaxsons moves out of range.
A slow jab from McCullen misses its intended target.
McCullen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smaxsons at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCullen throws a body shot but no joy.
Smaxsons scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Smaxsons wants to clinch up but McCullen keeps it at a distance.
McCullen fails to land with a series of punches.
Smaxsons blocks a low kick nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam McCullen dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!
McCullen misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Smaxsons to counter with a crisp jab.
A slow jab from Smaxsons misses its intended target.
Smaxsons walks into a straight right hand from McCullen.
McCullen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McCullen misses with a jab to the body
and Smaxsons cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McCullen throws a looping overhand right but Smaxsons ducks down to avoid it.
McCullen throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Smaxsons stumbling backwards into the cage! Smaxsons bounces back off the cage towards McCullen, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! McCullen lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! McCullen celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sam McCullen!
Sam McCullen opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
Clinton Smaxsons spoke after the fight, saying 'Much respect to my opponent and he has my full respect. I'll be back to avenge this loss. I have plenty of growth in me and I'll keep training hard. '.
