The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bockert circles away quickly and effectively.
We've been hearing reports that Bockert has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Partner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bockert slips a jab and a cross from Partner.
Partner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bockert paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bockert drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bockert is in close to Partner's body, working some short punches and elbows.

It looks like Sparring Partner has been cut.
Bockert stands up over Partner, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Partner is rocked!

That has opened up Sparring Partner's cut even more.
Bockert gets to his feet and stands over Partner, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Partner felt that one! Bockert unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Partner from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lowell Bockert!
Lowell Bockert decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
